Smiles and laughs will be plentiful in heaven this holiday season, as we shed a tear here on earth because of the loss of Ken Hall. For decades Kenny has been a part of the tuxedo business and one of the originals of the tuxedo industry dating back to the original After Six of Philadelphia along with long-time friend Jerry Mashman.
Jerry wrote: “May God bless his soul. I will miss him more than words can describe. I feel crushed. So sad.”
I met Ken and Jerry in the early 1990’s when they both worked for the Grief Co. It was Ken & Jerry who were responsible for bringing world-class brands including the Perry Ellis name to the tuxedo business. But more important Kenny had the gift of taking a boring business to greater heights with laughter & a certain amount of irreverence that appealed to anyone who dealt with him.
For now all that we remember are the best times and the non-stop laughter whenever he was around.
There’s no set plans at the time of this post but Ken’s wishes include cremation.
Sincere condolences and well-wishes to his family
